Applied Mechanics

Applied Mechanics Department plays an important role in Civil and Mechanical Engineering Education. Basic and fundamental subjects like Applied Mechanics, Strength of materials related to Civil and Mechanical Engineering are taught by this department. Besides this, we deal with major Civil Engineering subjects such as Concrete Technology, Geo Technical Engineering, Theory of Structures, Design of Steel Structures and Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures.
We generate revenue for Government through material testing and consultancy. We test building materials like cement, sand, aggregates, soil, steel, concrete, bricks, laterite stones, flooring tiles commonly required for buildings and ballast which is used under railway tracks.
