It is my pleasure to welcome you to Government Polytechnic Ratnagiri (GPR). It is one of the oldest institutes of Maharashtra Government established in the year 1961 to impart technical education in the Konkan region. You can find the alumni of this institute blossomed as entrepreneurs, researchers, experts, and academicians, etc. The institute is located in the vicinity of Thibaw Place and has a green campus spread across 17 Acres land.

The institute has a team of well qualified and knowledgeable teaching and non-teaching staff inspired by the vision of the institute to develop competent technical manpower to meet global, industrial and socio-economic needs of India by using modern practices; Industrial interactions and motivating them for lifelong learning. Presently, we have 6 diplomas in engineering and pharmacy. The Institute gives distinct importance to Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Experiential teaching Learning prescribed by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and helps the students to gain an excellent skill and knowledge in their respective domain.
